The Shower Planner Pompom Decoration Kit Review

Hey folks! We're trucking right along with the Birthday Extravaganza Giveaway Event. In case you're just joining in, I have been celebrating my daughter's 2nd birthday this week with reviews and giveaways from businesses who specialize in children's products, party decor, and more! If you would like to check out the current giveaways from this event, be sure to visit my Current Giveaways page.
Today's review and giveaway are sponsored by The Shower Planner on Etsy. If you are looking for adorable, easy to assemble, and unique party decor, look no further! They specialize in tissue paper pompom decoration kits, but also offer other unique party decor items as well, such as feather-centric centerpieces.
The Shower Planner was kind enough to send us one of their pompom kits to review. With the multitude of cute kits to choose from, it was really hard to decide which one we would use in our review! As I mentioned in yesterday's review, we went with a farm theme for Myka's birthday party because the kid loves her farm animals. While I was originally set on the rooster tissue paper pompom kit because she especially loves chickens, we ended up going with the sheep. (In the end it was my mom's choice, but don't get me wrong: It's just as cute. If you're planning a farm/barnyard themed party as well, she does offer a cow, horse, chicken, rooster, sheep, and pig pompom kit, so you can have the complete set!)

The kit is pretty straightforward, as you can see. It includes the face (or separate eyes and mouth, depending on which character you get), the tissue paper, directions, and even fishing line to hang it up with once complete! I thought it was nice and was glad that line was in there. Who wants to go rummaging through the house or garage for fishing line or kite string?

Our pompom sheep kit was actually a lot easier to put together than I expected...which is good because I waited until the last minute to put it together, of course. I forgot my camera AND my phone while I was putting it together, so I apologize for not having pictures of the process. (Did I mention we moved out of my parents house finally this weekend too?!) I did get my phone before the party started and got a picture of the final product, at least. Pretty stinkin' cute, huh?!

The only thing I didn't understand in the directions was about how to string the line under the eyes and then back up to the line where it hangs from to give it more stability. Maybe it was for the other ones where the eyes and mouth are separate? Needless to say, I was kind of surprised the tape held the sheep face in place since it is heavy duty cardstock. The whole thing is a lot heavier than you would think!

If you would like to plan and purchase your own party decorations with The Shower Planner, simply visit their Etsy storefront. You can stay up-to-date with them on Facebook and Pinterest. Don't forget to head over to the giveaway for your chance to win a tissue paper pompom kit of your own!
