Build-A-Unicorn Review

Hey folks! It's fun to have a little fantasy in our lives, especially for children, right? One of Myka's new favorite things seems to be unicorns, so I was super excited to discover The Roaming Peddlers store on Etsy! They specialize in making whimsical items, such as stuffed unicorns, dragons, and pegacorns, as well as play sword sets.
With Myka's birthday coming up (it was actually yesterday), I thought, "What better present than a personalized unicorn just for her?!" My mom got her a personalized stuffed bear last year, so I thought it might be a fun tradition to start getting her something with her name on it each year for her birthday, so that made this gift even more perfect!

The Roaming Peddlers' Build-A-Unicorn offers customization on just about every aspect of the stuffed friend. With the regular Build-A-Unicorn option, you get to choose what color you would like the body, hooves and ears, horn, AND mane and tail. They also offer add-ons for an additional price (ranging from $3-$5 each) if you would like to add some extra pizazz to your toy. These include star and heart appliques, bells in the mane and tail, lavender herbs mixed in with the stuffing, and name personalization. Pretty cool, huh?!
Overall, I was pretty happy with how our unicorn turned out. As you can see from the pictures, I had a rainbow theme going. I have to admit I was a little disappointed in the mane and tail colors BUT, to be fair and upfront, one of the owners did message me to let me know they did not have the same rainbow colors as I saw in one of their finished unicorns. So, technically it is my fault. I thought they would have still been a little closer to the normal rainbow colors, but it is growing on me. Plus hey, it's not for me anyways and I'm sure Myka won't care. :)

I am happy with the quality of our unicorn. It is made very well and I don't expect to have any problems with it falling apart or anything of the sort for many years to come. Plus you can tell it's handmade, which I like and think it adds personality to it.
If you would like to purchase your own Build-A-Unicorn or any other stuffed critter that The Roaming Peddlers offer for someone special in your life, be sure to visit their Etsy store front. You can also stay up-to-date with them on Facebook. Don't forget! You can enter for a chance to win a Build-A-Unicorn and one add-on by entering the giveaway HERE!
