"Hugo the Happy Starfish: Teamwork" Children's Book Review

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

Hugo the Happy Starfish: Teamwork is just one of many books in this series about a little starfish who wishes to venture away from his home at the bottom of the sea and visit the real world. He meets lots of new friends along the way and learns valuable life skills as well!
In Teamwork, Hugo and his friend Seedo are traveling across the ocean when a hurricane threatens them. They quickly swim to a nearby island and begin going about building a shelter. Unfortunately, they face many obstacles along the way. With the help of Seedo and his magical trumpet and their other friends, they eventually get the shelter built by working together. They also get rewarded with a magical surprise at the end for working together too!
The Hugo books combine two of my favorite things: books and learning! This book, along with the other Hugo books, would be great to read with kids who may be starting preschool soon as they teach important life skills, such as sharing, working together, patience, dealing with bullies, tolerance, and so much more! All important things to become a successful and enjoyable individual to be around. Kids will love this book for the colorful characters and the fun magical, imaginative aspects of it as well.
Teamwork also provides expanded learning opportunities. Kids may not know what a hurricane is, so this would be a perfect time to talk about them! There are also worksheets for some of the books provided on Hugo's website HERE for free, as well as games and coloring pages. Be sure to check out all of the Hugo books while you're there too!

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
