ReusaWool Dryer Balls Review & Giveaway

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.
Hey folks! Generally, laundry is not something many (if any) of us get excited about. However, I want to share with you a product that will make your laundry time so much better in many ways!
Using ReusaWool Dryer Balls is a good first step to take if you're looking to find greener solutions for your laundry. Made from 100% natural wool and here in the USA, these dryer balls

-help reduce drying time by up to 50%
-help dry clothes more evenly
-reduce static
-naturally soften clothes
-are made to last for years and years and years!

You may be wondering how a simple wool ball manages to do all of this. Basically, they just improve the natural drying process in your dryer. ReusaWool Dryer Balls help the circulation in your dryer so that your laundry dries faster. According to the sheet that came with my dryer balls that contained more information about them and natural laundry, "The natural fibers pick up a small amount of moisture at the beginning of the cycle and release it throughout the drying process. This creates a more even dry and reduces static." Who knew the science behind drying clothes could be so interesting?
Before I tell you my opinion on them, I will say that I have tried other wool dryer balls in the past, so I can't help but compare them. However, this isn't necessarily a bad thing because I actually liked the ReusaWool ones better. Honest. Why?...
First of all, you only need to use 2 or 3 of them to get the job done. They are made differently from my previous wool dryer balls and you can really tell the difference in the performance. My other ones require there to be about 6 in the dryer. Even then, they don't always get all of my cloth diapers completely dry. Which brings me to another thing I like about them.
Cloth diaper laundry
They are safe to use with cloth diapers! This is a major bonus for us, of course, as diaper laundry gets done more frequently than any other laundry in this house.
Also, anything that helps my towels dry faster is a welcome thing in my house. For the most part, we dry everything on the lowest setting possible. Sometimes I dry towels on medium, sometimes not. I was pleasantly surprised when I dried them on the lowest setting with the 3 ReusaWool Dryer Balls and they were actually all dry at the end! A lot of times in the past I've had to dry them for extra time, which I hate! Seems like wasted energy to me.
I will admit that when I first started using wool dryer balls in general instead of dryer sheets I missed my laundry being scented. However, you can still get nice smelling laundry by adding a few drops of essential oil to your dryer balls. Plus it's a lot safer way to scent your clothes than dryer sheets and fabric softener. Yay!
After about 5 loads of various types of laundry. They DO pil, but that is the worst thing that will happen to them with proper care. Don't worry. They don't come off on your clothes!
I highly, highly recommend throwing your fabric softener and/or dryer sheets out and replacing them with ReusaWool Dryer Balls! They're much safer for you AND the environment! I received the 3 pack natural dryer balls, but you can also purchase them individually in 14 different colors or in a 3 pack of assorted colors. (Don't worry. The dyes used are fiber reactive and won't bleed onto your clothing.) You can purchase individual balls for $6.95/each or a 3 pack for $19.95. That's a small price to pay when you consider how much money you will be saving by not buying dryer sheets or fabric softener any more!
Now for the really fun part! Enter the giveaway below for a chance to win your own set of 3 Pack Natural ReusaWool Dryer Balls. Good luck!

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

  1. I would love to try the Laundry Nuts! They are biodegradable and eco-friendly. Since they can be used in my HE, top-loader, I'm really curious to see how my laundry would come out!
