Our Week of Fun In Pictures

Hey folks! As I'm sure your kids are too, mine have been getting a bit antsy lately being cooped up in the house and, ahem, a little on the annoying side. So, I've been making it a point to get out more. While I enjoy getting out of the house sometimes and socializing, but, being an introvert, it also majorly drains me. I've been more tired than usual this past week and I'm just gonna go ahead and blame it on that! With that being said, I'll actually spare you all the wordiness in today's post and mostly share our (mostly) fun week in pictures.

We finally checked out a kids' gym I had heard of, but just hadn't gotten around to taking the kids for whatever reason. Now I wish we had gone sooner! It's similar to a place we had right around the corner from us in Arkansas. Super fun! I'm glad Myka liked it so much because I ended up having to buy a pass because I didn't have any cash on me and they wouldn't accept my card for just the one day admission fee. -_- Annoying, but I understand why some places do that. Plus, like I said, it worked out. Now we've already paid for going 5 more times!

I have loosened up a LOT as far as messiness goes since having Ripley, so I occasionally let Myka go run through the giant puddles at the end of our drive after it rains. On the right, I can't believe I actually got my camera to take a picture at the exact moment Ripley was making her rotten face. Actually, I chose to include these two pictures because both of their faces crack me up. :D

We went to the homeschool group's Valentine's Day party last Thursday. We got there early (I know! It's a Valentine's Day miracle!) so we wouldn't have to walk far because it was super cold that day and, quite frankly, I still don't have my shit together very well when it comes to taking two kids out in public by myself. There. I said it. Anyways...
We got there early, so we were able to play upstairs on the "toy floor" for a bit. This was at a community center, by the way. Then we went downstairs to the gym for the party. Myka had an awesome time. I literally wished I had a human-sized clam shell that I could crawl inside and tune everyone and everything out because there were SOOO many people there. Mostly kid people. Kid people that are like my kid person who have way too much energy because they've been locked away indoors for too long. I could NOT leave fast enough, but we did stay almost the entire time, much to my chagrin. Do I get mommy points for that?

What fun things have you done with your kids lately?

  1. Lol, like I'm listening to my daughter (she's also introvert and got two girls similar age to yours). And yes, you got mommy points :)

  3. Your kids are adorable. I just found two of these kid gyms around our area and I plan on taking Peachy there soon. I hope she likes it. Now that she's getting bigger (14 months) it's time to introduce her to some new activities. #FabFridayPost

  4. I'm laughing at your description of taking two littles out by yourself. You're in the boot camp years of parenting. It gets easier. And then harder again, lol. But those middle years are golden!

    1. I'm telling you, if/when we have a third I am NEVER leaving the house! lol Compared to what I know I have to look forward to with TWO teenage girls, I'll take this craziness with a grain of salt. ;)

  5. Oh yes! You totally got mommy points for that. Your little ones grow so fast! It is so nice to have something happening indoor. They seem to have so much fun! We were out at the museum one day and the next we went treasure hunting in a big park. It was cold! lol! Thank you so much for linking up with us on #FabFridayPost x

    1. That's great you keep them busy! We are planning on visiting a big cat (lions, tigers, etc) sanctuary this Friday and it is supposed to be cold! Not looking forward to that. :/
