Want to
help your little one fall into a peaceful sleep? Worried about transitioning
baby into his/her own room? Or maybe you have a toddler that is afraid of the
dark and needs a nightlight? If any of the above applies to you, Lullaby Light
Cube can help you out!
The Lullaby
Light Cube is a portable star projector and soother. It’s small and comes with
a detached base that the cube rests in, so besides not taking up much room in
travel bags, it won’t take up much space in the bedroom either! It’s not nearly
as bulky as some of the musical soothers I’ve seen out there plus it’s battery
powered so you don’t have to worry about cords hanging everywhere…Or finding an
outlet, for that matter!
The star
projector comes in a variety of colors, including blue, green, and yellow.
Lullaby Light Cube also plays music (Rock-a-bye Baby and Twinkle, Twinkle
Little Star) and heartbeats. Each song/sound has its own special star
projection color. There is also a projection only mode that cycles through the
different colors.
The cube is
also super easy to use. Instead of having buttons, knobs, etc., it has touch
sensors. One is used to select which song/sound you want and the other is
volume control. As I mentioned, there are 4 settings for the sound/star
projection and 3 volume settings.
So, what
did I think of it? I love it! Currently, we have one of those soothers that
plays music and has moving objects and a light in Myka’s crib. We have both
been getting kind of burnt out on the music, so this was a nice change of pace.
I’m not sure whether she has really noticed the star projections or not, but
I’m sure she’ll enjoy them when she gets older. To be fair, we have still been
keeping her night light on, making them kind of hard to see.
My favorite
thing about the Lullaby Light Cube is how long the music and lights stay on.
That is one thing I don’t like about our current soother: the music only stays
on for like 5 minutes. Sorry, but unless my daughter is REALLY tired, she’s not
falling asleep in that amount of time. The cube’s music plays for 20 minutes!
Now THAT’S a reasonable time frame for her to fall asleep! Even better, the
star projection stays on for an extra 20 minutes AFTER the music has
automatically turned off. Bonus!
As I said,
the music and projections automatically turn off after continuously playing for
so long. I seriously love, love, love this because I hate having to walk
through Myka’s room while she’s sleeping. Why? We have the stereotypically
creaky hardwood floors where the harder you try to be quiet, the louder you
seem to be. So the fact that I don’t have to worry about turning this off and
potentially waking her up is fantastic!
Sorry you can't see them very well. They are a lot brighter in person, I promise!
I was
really surprised by how loud the music can get. I mean that in a good way,
though. I’ve been placing the Lullaby Light Cube on the other side of the room
from Myka’s crib, so I’ve put it on the highest volume setting to make sure she
could hear it. I actually had to go in last night and turn it down because I
could hear it all the way in the living room! Not that the music is annoying,
but I have a really hard time listening to repetitive things and each song
plays for 40 seconds then starts over again. But, Myka seems to like it and
that’s all that matters. : )
Just an example of the music. I tried getting the projections too, but it's really hard to get it in the dark on a camera.

ReplyDeleteI'd pick pink for my little girl. I actually really need to get her a night light. She's currently borrowing her big brothers' so she doesn't have to sleep with the ceiling light on all night. She's never needed a light until about a week ago.
