Hey folks! I'm sure you've seen a lot about the new Sudsy Dough Kickstarter campaign on here and my social media this week. Now that we've had some time to play with it for ourselves, I can finally share what we think of it! First off, a little about Sudsy Dough from the makers, who came up with the idea for their daughter who didn't like bath time!
Kids
can squeeze and squish Sudsy Dough in the bath, rub it on as a
cleansing body wash, or take it outside the tub and make their own
custom-shaped soaps. Sudsy dough shapes will dry to become mini bars of
scented soap. Shape the dough into anything you can think up! Kids will
love playing with this squishable, sensory soap in the bath.
Infused with Shea butter and coconut oil, Sudsy Dough moisturizes as it cleanses. It also comes in a variety of fragrances and colors! Sudsy Dough has a mild foaming agent that creates suds when run under water. Each ball of Sudsy Dough also has a surprise squirt toy hidden inside!

So far, Myka and I really like Sudsy Dough. We've only had it for about a week, but, unlike the creators' daughter, ours likes to take baths and showers any chance she gets, so we've already had several occasions to try it out! We received the blueberry scent to review (there is also apple, strawberry, and mango) and it smells good enough to eat. (Although I don't suggest that. ;) ) My hands still smell like it and it's been several hours since we took a bath. (Although I don't think that's a bad thing!) Speaking of blue, if you play with it enough it turns the bath water an interesting blue-green color, which I think would be fun for slightly older kids.

So far Myka has mostly enjoyed squishing the dough and me making rings for her in the bath. (Wait a minute. Isn't she supposed to be playing with this?) I'm glad she's not as weird about textures as she used to be, because I think this is such a great idea for a product. It's basically like play dough (in looks and consistency before wet) for the tub that you can wash with too! Bonus!
Myka and I love the added bonus of the squirt toy, but at the same time, you know what my favorite part of Sudsy Dough is? Squirt toys are fun and all, but I like that we can play with this in the bath and not have to worry about it getting MOLD on the inside! (Can you tell I have a love/hate relationship with squirt toys? ha ha) While I'm sure Myka doesn't notice, I also like that the shea butter and coconut oil leaves our skin nice and soft. It's like using bath beads without the yucky, leftover greasy feeling.
So, if you have a child who doesn't particularly enjoy bath time, Sudsy Dough may be your saving grace.
